Misha is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who is also trained in Eye movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to her work with Efficacy, she has seven years of experience working in NHS primary care services across London, specialising in adult mental health. She also had the privilege of receiving specialist CBT supervision from the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT).She has worked with a range of difficulties, including Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social anxiety, Phobias, Grief and Loss, Generalised Anxiety, OCD and Panic Disorder. Alongside this, she also facilitated various wellbeing workshops and supervised trainee clinicians completing post graduate training.
Misha is a reflective and creative practitioner who maintains a Socratic and evidence based CBT approach to guide clients towards recovery and wellness. She is particularly skilled at helping clients to recognise the importance of their values, in order to strengthen their sense of purpose and contribution to meaningful relationships.
In particular, her areas of expertise are working with women within the antenatal/postnatal period, interpersonal difficulties and various forms of trauma. She contributed to service development in two of London’s largest IAPT services through her involvement in a research trial at King's College London for perinatal anxiety disorders and developing a therapist treatment manual for working with clients who are experiencing complex PTSD.
