What is stress?

Stress is what we feel when we are under pressure. It is a completely normal response that we all experience from time to time and is our body’s reaction to feeling under threat, the flight or fight response. It is not dangerous. In fact, a certain amount of pressure can be quite helpful and motivating. We risk a more severe stress reaction if we have too much pressure for too long. This can be quite unpleasant in the short term, but if the stress continues and is not managed, it can be bad for business and employee health.
