Jenny qualified as Psychiatric Nurse in 1990 and has worked in both Primary and Secondary Care with people across a spectrum of Psychiatric Disorders, specialising in working with Children, Young People and with Young Adults and in the treatment of people with Addictions.
Jenny left the NHS in 2005 to complete a BSc in Health and Social Care with the Open University and spent time working in Community Development (Educating Young People on Substance Use) and within the Charitable Sector within Home Start (supporting new parents and young families)
In 2009 Jenny returned to the NHS to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist offering CBT for Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders and Phobias in Primary Care. Since qualifying as a CBT Therapist Jenny has undertaken additional training in CBT for Children and Young People and Compassion Focused Therapy. Jenny currently works part-time with the University of Cambridge Counselling Service as a CBT Therapist working with students and Part time in Private Practice.
