Private CBT Therapists in London

Our purpose is in our name, our job is to get you better.  Whether you are self-funding your individual CBT, using private medical insurance, referred from a contracted organisation or seen in one of our NHS contracts everyone is treated with the same quality service by Efficacy's BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapists.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is the treatment of choice for anxiety disorders, depression, emotional and psychological problems. CBT is a short-term therapy during which you’ll learn to look at your thoughts and beliefs (cognition) and to understand the way they link to your behaviours, mood and physical reactions.CBT Therapy with a CBT Therapist

CBT Treatment of Anxiety and Depression

All our Cognitive Behavioural Therapists are BABCP accredited that is the single point raising us above all other CBT treatment services in London and the UK.  As such, all are specifically trained experts in CBT to help you. Sometimes with anxiety, and a frequent feature of depression is hopelessness but do bear in mind that anxiety and depression are very much treatable with CBT.

CBT is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy, initially developed for the treatment of depression, and has the largest evidence base, being successfully adapted for the treatment of anxiety related issues.  It is now the psychological treatment of choice for anxiety and depression, and a range of other emotional and psychological disorders.  You can read more about what else cognitive behavioural therapy can help with here.

Evidence for CBT Treatment of Anxiety and Depression

A lot of people with anxiety and depression can feel that their anxieties and dwelling cannot be controlled and it is a part of who they are.  However, anxiety disorders and depression are perfectly treatable problems with CBT.  Review some of our results here.

How much does independent CBT cost?

Efficacy is an award-winning service. Guidelines produced by NICE (the National Institute of Clinical Excellence) recommend CBT for all anxiety disorders, and with the longest duration of effect, it's the most cost-effective treatment to treat anxiety and depression - making it cheaper and economical in the long run. Keep in mind that for individual CBT in London we have the most affordable fees (see here) for BABCP accredited therapists.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapists in Private Practice

If you are looking for a CBT specialist then we have BABCP accredited therapists in 4 separate clinics in London and 250 across the UK.  We ensure that the quality of our CBT partner is excellent, and not exclusive to our public sector contracts in the NHS (an IAPT service in Northumberland and for GPs via NHS England).

logo-babcp-accredited-logoOur private service of CBT therapists, across London and the UK, are experts and highly training in delivering results-based cognitive behavioural therapy. Remember that in private CBT practice BABCP accreditation is your exclusive gold standard for quality and expertise in the UK.

As mentioned, research demonstrates that CBT is effective for anxiety and depression.  We will never offer CBT blended into other therapies (i.e. counselling, integrative psychotherapy and hypnotherapy). We monitor ‘therapy drift’ and ensure everyone provides fidelity to cognitive-behavioural principles, theory and the model.  In essences, our therapists only provide pure cognitive behavioural therapy - what we call disorder-specific-formulation-driven-CBT.

As with all our treatments, remote (telephone or Skype), online CBT or face to face, we have the highest levels of governance and supervision. This provides assurances that all our therapist's standards are maintained.  This means you can be sure that your psychotherapy will be effective and appropriate for you.

If you are considering confidential private CBT treatment you can see our fees here.  We are covered by all private medical insurers  (e.g., BUPA, AXA PPP, Cigna, WPA, Aviva, etc.) to provide CBT and we can invoice them directly, saving you another hassle.
