Anxiety and Public Speaking

"It was not an easy decision to start CBT. I was sceptical that any form of therapy could cure my anxiety-induced blushing that had dominated my thoughts for years. So when I started my sessions at Efficacy, it was with some trepidation. It’s so strange remembering that now after my sessions have made such a vast improvement to my confidence. Things that would have petrified me before such as public speaking, I now enjoy. Although I still occasionally feel anxious, I have been given the tools to cope in an effective way. At times the work was challenging, but I came away every week feeling like I had achieved something, and was making real progress towards overcoming my anxiety. I now feel in control of my thoughts and feelings and generally far happier. I would recommend CBT at Efficacy to anyone."
